The Difference Between Captive & Independent Agents

March 5, 2015 by John Bush

A captive agent can present plans for only one company and will typically not even show you all options available to you. As an independent agent, I work for you and show all options available while also comparing directly with multiple top-rated companies. I strive to have a personal relationship with anyone I work with. Things may change and there may be a need to compare what options are available, which I’ll gladly inform you of and help with.

There are agents who will work with someone one time and you never hear from them again. I don’t believe this is a way to treat a client. After working with someone initially, I follow up to ensure things are as they should. I will check in at least once or twice a year also. I also ensure I am easily available and just a direct phone call away if needed. When you call Senior Savings Services you won’t have to press 1 for this and 2 for that, instead you will get a live person on the phone to help you. That is the way a service should be.

Choose to work with an agent who will treat you right, an agent who will be direct and up front with you, and an agent who is knowledgeable on medical underwriting criteria with various insurances. Contact Senior Savings Services at 1-800-592-0819 and let me put my knowledge and experience to work for you so you can make an informed decision.
